Every green coffee sample is graded by Trent Rollings, a licensed SCA Q Grader and Q Instructor with more than fifteen years in specialty coffee. He founded Timberline Coffee School, Calgary's first SCA certified campus, and trains competition judges through the WCC Judge Skills Program.

How much coffee do I need to send?
1 kg of green coffee per sample. That covers every assessment. We confirm the shipping details by email after you order.
Do I send green or roasted coffee?
Green only. We roast it for the cupping ourselves, so every sample is prepared the same way before it is assessed.
How long does it take?
Your report is emailed within 7 to 10 business days of your samples arriving. Shipping time is on top of that.
Can I send coffee from outside Canada?
Yes. We grade coffee from anywhere. You cover shipping, and any duty or brokerage is passed on at cost.
What standard do you grade to?
The SCA Coffee Value Assessment, the current protocol used by Q Graders worldwide. Your report follows the SCA forms and reads the same to any buyer, roaster or exporter who works with Q scores.
